Questions, answered.
Do I need developers or my own servers?
No. Callrix runs the website, calls, billing and, with Business, the native apps. You set up branding, prices, advisors and Stripe yourself in the operator console. Prefer a guided start? Book a demo and we set it up with you.
How does per-second billing work?
Customers top up a prepaid wallet. During a call, the wallet is charged by the second at the advisor’s price per minute. Before the balance runs out, the customer gets a low-balance warning and can top up without hanging up. Whatever is left stays in the wallet for the next call.
Where does the money go?
Straight into your own Stripe account. Callrix never holds your funds. Advisors are paid out from your Stripe account via Stripe Connect.
Does Callrix take a cut of my revenue?
A small one. Depending on your plan you pay 5 to 15 % of net call and chat revenue (paid call and chat charges without VAT, bonus credit excluded) on top of the monthly licence, billed together each month. Nothing per top-up. The rest of the margin between what customers pay and what advisors earn is yours. Stripe’s standard payment fees apply.
Can I have my own app in the App Store and Google Play?
Yes, with Business. You create your own Apple Developer and Google Play accounts (Apple and Google charge their own registration fees). We build the native app under your brand and publish it under your accounts. Store review usually takes a few days.
Which niches can I run on Callrix?
Coaching, legal and tax hotlines, tutoring, expert advice, wellness and more: any field where people pay for an expert’s time. Legal and tax advice must be given by advisors licensed to do so. Spiritual and psychic niches are only possible after prior approval, so please talk to us first.
Is Callrix GDPR compliant?
Callrix is hosted in the EU (Hetzner, Germany) and has data export and deletion built in. You are the controller for your customers’ data and Callrix acts as your processor. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is available.
